Poinsett 76 / CUCUMBER 

70 days.  An excellent slicing type that averages 8½ inches long by 2½ inches in diameter when mature. The flesh is crisp, white and tender. The best open pollinated variety for the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic coastal areas as a disease-resistant main crop garden variety.
 

Black King / Eggplant

79 days F-1 hybrid. A vigorous grower and high yielder suitable for the home garden. Its 7" shiny bulging oval fruits are resistant to excess heat and are very tasty.


New Ace /Sweet Red Pepper

 60 days F-1 hybrid. A cinch to grow. Resists blossom drop even in adverse weather so that almost every flower produces. Fruits thin-walled, not blocky, turn red early, good for the home garden.


Fordhook / Zucchini 

57 days F-1 hybrid. Fordhook Zucchini has cylindrical, smooth, dark green, straight to slightly curves fruits with creamy white, tender flesh. The space saving bush-like plants are vigorous and the fruits are best when 6-8" long. 


Pic-n-Pic / Summer Squash 

50 days F-1 hybrid. It's extremely productive and best picked when 4-6" long. Proven tops for performance, flavor and wide adaptability.

Tomatoes plants I grow for market



Arkansas Traveler 89 days. (Indeterminate) [Pre-1900 heirloom grown throughout the South from northwest Arkansas to North Carolina.] 'Arkansas Traveler' is an old Southern heirloom much esteemed for its ability to produce flavorful tomatoes under conditions of drought and high heat. 

Big Beef 73 Days. . (Indeterminate)  A good choice to try in virtually any climate, readily overcoming adverse growing conditions and adapting easily to different environments. This hybrid has an old-fashioned, rich flavor, colossal fruit size and yield, uniformity and a full spectrum of disease resistance. Smooth fruits are globe-shaped, weighing 9 oz. to one pound.

Brandywine OTV 72 days (Indeterminate) A truly marvelous stand-out member of the great family of Brandywines. Big 1 pound red fruits with orange shoulders and complex rich flavors. An outstanding potato leaf tomato for your garden; it also sets fruit very well during high temperatures and bears all season. A reliable producer, very disease resistant, and easy to grow. Heirloom

Costoulutlo Fiorentino 83 days (Indeterminate) [Italian heirloom from the Tuscany region.] One of the most heat tolerant and productive varieties in a 2011 U. of Georgia trial. Also did well in Virginia in 2013’s cool, wet summer. 8–12 oz. red, deeply lobed fruits.

Marglobe VF (Marglobe Improved) 70 days. (Determinate)
A select improved strain of the old favorite 'Marglobe' originally released by the USDA in 1925. Red, medium-sized. 5-8 oz. fruit. Very summer hardy. Grows well in large pots.

Mortgage Lifter VFN 83 days. (Indeterminate) An improved version of 'Radiator Charlie's Mortgage Lifter' which has added disease resistance, productive andmore uniform fruit, ripening to red rather than pink-red. 6-7 ft. tall plants with large, 10-14 oz fruit. Heirloom

Red Robin Cherry 55 Days. (Dwarf) This popular dwarf variety of cherry tomato thrives in relatively small pots or hanging baskets set on sunny windowsills or outdoor patios. Plants only become 8 to 12 in. tall and bear masses of 1-1/4 inch full-flavored tomatoes with a touch of sweetness.

Silver Fir Tree  58 days. (Determinate) A traditional Russian variety with distinctive carrotlike silvery-gray foliage on compact 24" plants. Sweet 100 70 days.  (Indeterminate) This red cherry has huge multiple-branched clusters producing 100 or more small sweet fruits. The Sweet 100 should be staked for best results.
